Technological Area | Energy and transport |
Acronym | CONTER |
Full Title | Development of efficient multi-layer coatings allowing energy management in architecture and rail transport projects |
Duration | 39 months |
Start dates | 01 / 10 / 2020 |
Programme | CHALLENGES-COLLABORATION |
Scope | National |
Participating entities | University of Zaragoza, Ariño Duglass |
The CONTER project aims to address various aspects of the development of new multi-layer solar control and low-emission coatings: the improvement of current multi-layer designs, the improvement of the application process, the improvement of their quality controls, and the development of coverings with new aesthetic aspects and functionalities.
This type of multi-layer covering is widely used in architecture, rail transport and in maritime vehicles, a market in which Ariño Duglass has begun to participate, and is a fundamental item for improving energy efficiency as it enables the glazing to have better control over incident solar radiation, and the low-emission coating also helps manage the re-emission of black body radiation.
Project funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation:
