OBJECTIVES
GENERDIS is an industrial research project that will focus on the technological challenges of the energy communities of the future.
Due to the distributed nature of the resources which comprise energy communities, optimized management is required which considers the greater benefit of the community. It must also be flexible to respond to changing climatic conditions or other circumstances, ensuring technical and economic feasibility in the future, while reducing dependency on aid or subsidies. Thus, the project is based on three pillars:
(1) Optimized management of decentralized energy resources.
(2) Research into innovative storage technologies for the generated energy, with reduced dependence on critical materials.
(3) Research into new materials & methods for optimizing the use of solar resources and their integration into the available surfaces of buildings.
